The video below has been seen over 1.7 million times on YouTube.

While a bunch of young kids was strolling along the street and finding an abandoned refrigerator, they were intrigued by the words “Don’t open.”

They donned their safety masks and grabbed an electric screwdriver, then started disassembling the device.

As soon as the door opened, they realized how foolish their actions had been.

What the found in the fride is terrible.

Some of us don’t care for bees because they think they only annoy us. However, in reality, these insects are gradually dying out of existence.

They are critical as these little insects are responsible for feeding 90 percent of the world’s population. Reportedly, we will have a major disaster on our hands on the off chance that we expel them from the ecosystem.

You don’t have to be a tree nut to respect the environment. There is some amazingly simple stuff we can do to help the planet.

A single person can’t do everything, but all of us together can help. And we all have a responsibility to do something to preserve the beautiful world we live in, for our future generations.

Screenshot 1297

Zoologist and author Sir David Attenborough has battled for animals, the environment, and nature for as long as he can remember.

Attenborough, who is perhaps best known as a television presenter, has a vital message which everyone ought to hear.

Screenshot 1298

He said on Facebook:

“If bees were to disappear from the face of the earth, humans would have just 4 years left to live”

David Attenborough is not the first person to give this grave warning to us, but his post is a real reminder that it is a real issue and we all should take it very seriously.

They may be little, but bees have a huge task — close to 33% of the sustenance we get was pollinated by bees.

David Attenborough writes:

“In the last 5 years, the bee population has dropped by 1/3”

The situation is not hopeless at all though, one thing we can all do, an idea growing like wildfire…

Screenshot 1299

David Attenborough gives us a simple little tip that every one of us should try: Mix some sugar and water in a spoon and then leave it in your backyard. It really could help save your life!

David Attenborough writes:

“This time of year bees can often look like they are dying or dead, however, they’re far from it. Bees can become tired and they simply don’t have enough energy to return to the hive, which can often result in being swept away.”

“If you find a tired bee in your home, a simple solution of sugar and water will help revive an exhausted bee.“

“Simply mix two tablespoons of white, granulated sugar with one tablespoon of water and place on a spoon for the bee to reach. You can also help by sharing this post to raise awareness.”

Screenshot 1300

Here’s yet another way that will help bees and mankind thrive: plant flowers on your balcony maybe even let wildflowers take over a corner of your backyard. Your local bees will really love it!

Bees can save our planet, together we could save the planet! Please SHARE this with your friends and family and let’s spread the word!

In fact, some of it might make you think twice before your next stay. In this article, we’ve gathered 12 jaw-dropping insider stories from hotel staff that will leave you speechless—and maybe a little wary the next time you check in.
  • “If you ever need to cancel a hotel reservation, but it’s already past the cancelation deadline, just call and move your reservation up a few days. Wait 5 minutes. Call back, now well within the cancelation window, and cancel your stay for free.” King_Whistle / Reddit
  • “I worked in numerous luxury 5-star properties worldwide. You will be surprised if you know the food quality in buffets. I’ve seen yellow food coloring added and labelled as ’saffron sauce’, pan fried sea bass? It’s pan fried white fish that comes in generic bags labelled ’white fish’. People change the expiration date on stuff so that the food cost doesn’t increase.” Bigfatpie / Reddit
  • “Those tiny free bottles of shampoo you find in your hotel room? Please don’t use them. We’re not allowed to tell guests this, but those bottles are often refilled with expired product.
Instead of replacing them, housekeeping collects the bottles, refills them from large bulk containers, and reseals them. The problem? Those bulk containers have been sitting in storage for months, often past their expiration date.”

7672a35b8fb20567be6a5f40e9

  • “It doesn’t hurt to ask if there’s a better rate. Depending on the property, if you’re nice, the front desk has the power to do a lot with your rate. At one property I worked at if we were almost full, and it was past 9 pm I could cut $50 off the rate if I felt like it, at most though I can only really give a 10% discount, but I can do it for almost any reason.” Laid_Low_Ludlow / Reddit
  • “Spread a towel out on the counter before putting your stuff on it, because I know some of my coworkers would go from floor to shower to toilet to sink with the same rag. I know people who would do twelve rooms or more with two rags: bathroom and not bathroom. Nobody cared, the goal was to remove all traces of the last guest and make it smell nice.” v1508 / Reddit
  • “Never sleep directly on a pillow in a hotel. Always bring your own pillowcase and cover it. We can’t tell guests this, but the hotel pillows are actually rarely washed. The pillowcases get changed, sure, but the pillows themselves? They’re only cleaned if there’s an obvious stain or odor. Most of the time, they just get reused over and over again. I’ve seen pillows in rooms that have been there for months, maybe even years, without being properly cleaned.”

20441a5654b0fb8146fadbc86e

  • “Noise complaints will be promptly ignored. Why? Because sound carries from several rooms above you, and most people don’t know which room is being loud even when it’s right next to them.
  • Being one room off is the difference between asking someone to keep it down, and waking up the Rage Lady at 3am. I’ll go up and listen to see if I can pinpoint the room, but if I can’t, then you’re just gonna have to deal with it.” Ceraunius / Reddit
  • “If you like big bathrooms, ask for a handicap accessible room with a ’roll in shower’, normally about twice the size of a standard bathroom, but without the tub.” maevtr / Reddit
  • “Housekeepers only change the sheets, not the coverlet or the second blanket, unless it’s been stained, and we’re unable to hide it.” MissMarionette / Reddit

9fce285236874064f6f8438d5a

  • “I worked the night shift at a hotel and had to prepare breakfast. I will never eat scrambled eggs at a hotel again, unless I see the cook actually breaking the eggs.
  • It’s disgusting how much food can just be bought en masse and prepared in under 5 minutes. Ready-to-cook egg mix. Just pour it into a pan and heat the ooze up… 5 minutes later: scrambled ’eggs’. Doesn’t taste good at all.” Dire87 / Reddit
  • “If you don’t like your room, ask for the manager after the first night and kindly state that you felt an itching in the night, and you think that something bit you. After investigation, you found an approximately 1.5 cm long black bug on your sheets. Tell them that that might have been a ’bedbug’.
  • Just whisper that word, so no other guest hears it. Say that if they find a different room for you, you don’t need to include this detail in your trip advisor review. If you were friendly and polite — free upgrades to suites this time and the next times.” Unknown author / Reddit
  • “Ask the hotel to remove such fees as Wi-Fi, newspaper, gym and pool. These are often included, but they will remove if requested.” S***AndF***y / Reddit

Effective Ways to Store Ripe Bananas at Room Temperature https://echowoven.com/effective-ways-to-store-ripe-bananas-at-room-temperature/ https://echowoven.com/effective-ways-to-store-ripe-bananas-at-room-temperature/#respond Thu, 31 Oct 2024 01:27:24 +0000 https://echowoven.com/?p=87487 Bananas are a popular and nutritious fruit but can spoil easily if not stored properly. They ripen quickly when exposed to air, high temperatures, or sunlight, causing the skin to darken and the flesh soft and sour. To extend the shelf life of ripe bananas, we suggest some simple methods to preserve ripe bananas without browning.

If you want to store ripe bananas at room temperature, you can try the following two methods:

Utilizing Newspaper

Wrapping bananas in newspaper reduces exposure to air and light. Newspaper helps maintain stable temperature and slows down the ripening process of bananas. Wrap each banana individually, avoiding wrapping the entire bunch together to prevent bruising. Additionally, store bananas wrapped in newspaper in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight. Storing bananas with newspaper can keep them fresh for about 3-5 days.

Implementation Steps:

  • Step 1: Wrap each banana tightly in newspaper.
  • Step 2: Arrange bananas in a basket or tray and place in a cool, airy location.

Hanging Bananas

A simple way to preserve ripe bananas longer is by hanging them up. This method helps prevent bananas from being squashed and their skins turning black when in contact with surfaces.

When hanging bananas, choose a location with dry, cool air, avoiding hot and humid conditions. Keep bananas away from other fruits as they release ethylene gas, which speeds up ripening. Hanging bananas can preserve them for 4 to 7 days.

Implementation Steps:

  • Step 1: Hang the bananas on a hook, string.
  • Step 2: Then hang the bananas on a rack.

How to Store Bananas in the Refrigerator

To prolong the shelf life of ripe bananas, consider storing them in either a standard refrigerator or a mini fridge. Placing bananas in the fridge can help maintain their freshness for approximately 7 to 10 days. However, before refrigerating, it’s advisable to prepare zip-top bags, plastic wrap, or an airtight container for better preservation.

Preserving Bananas with Zip-Top Bags

You can place bananas in zip-top bags and seal them tightly to minimize air exposure. However, opt for bags with pinholes rather than completely airtight ones. This is to prevent pressure buildup inside the bag. It’s recommended to store the zip-top bag containing bananas in the refrigerator’s cool compartment rather than the freezer section. Storing them in the freezer can cause the bananas to freeze solid and lose their flavor.

Steps to Follow:

  • Step 1: Take a zip-top bag (specifically designed for storing fruits, food items) and place the bananas inside, arranging them neatly before sealing the bag.
  • Step 2: Next, place the zip-top bags containing bananas in the refrigerator’s cool compartment, maintaining a temperature of approximately 2 – 3 degrees Celsius.

Preserving Bananas with Plastic Wrap

Plastic wrap helps prevent air from reaching the bananas and reduces bacterial growth. Additionally, this method helps maintain the bananas’ ripeness and slows down the browning process of the banana peel.

Steps to Follow:

  • Step 1: Wrap the banana bunch or individual bananas with plastic wrap.
  • Step 2: Then, place the bananas wrapped in plastic wrap in the refrigerator’s cool compartment, adjusting the temperature to around 2 – 3 degrees Celsius. Avoid storing bananas in the freezer as they will freeze and lose their flavor.

Preserving Bananas with an Airtight Container

Preserving Ripe Bananas with an airtight container helps keep them moist and prevents the effects of air exposure. During ripening, bananas release a gas mixture that increases pressure inside the container. Therefore, it’s advisable to choose a container with air vents to avoid this situation.

Steps to Follow:

  • Step 1: Select a food storage container that fits the bananas snugly, arranging them in a single layer without stacking. Stacking may cause the bananas to get bruised or damaged. If the bananas are overly ripe, you can peel them and place them evenly in the container, sealing it tightly.
  • Step 2: Once the bananas are placed in the container, open the air vent (if available) and then place it in the refrigerator’s cool compartment. This method of preserving ripe bananas will help keep them fresh for the next 7 to 10 days.

cach bao quan chuoi bang hop kin

Preserving Bananas in the Freezer

Preserving Ripe Bananas for an extended period, you can store them in the freezer. Storing bananas in the freezer can preserve them for a long time, depending on their ripeness and current condition. Some methods for preserving bananas in the freezer include:

  • Preserving Whole Bananas: You can use zip-top bags to neatly pack bananas and place them in the freezer. This preservation method can keep bananas fresh for an additional 3-4 months. However, during this process, bananas may freeze solid, and the peel may darken. Nonetheless, the banana flesh inside remains edible. After thawing, you can consume them directly or use them in recipes.
  • Preserving Peeled Bananas: Peeled bananas are prone to mushiness, so it’s recommended to use zip-top bags and arrange them neatly. Alternatively, you can use a storage container lined with wax paper to hold the bananas before placing them in the freezer. This preservation method can keep bananas fresh for about 2 months. Using zip-top bags helps prevent bananas from freezing too hard and preserves their flavor.

However, there are some considerations to keep in mind when storing bananas:

  • Mark the date of placing bananas in the freezer: This is crucial for you to know the expiry date of the bananas.
  • Thaw bananas before use: When using frozen bananas, it’s advisable to let them sit outside the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes to thaw before enjoying. You can also use frozen bananas to make smoothies, cakes, ice cream, or other dishes.

Tips for Preserving Ripe Bananas Longer

In addition to the methods of preserving ripe bananas mentioned above, you can also apply some of the following tips to help preserve ripe bananas longer:

  • Choose bananas with green skins and not fully ripe: This ensures that bananas are preserved longer. Because ripe yellow bananas will spoil faster.
  • Separate bananas from the bunch and do not place them with other fruits: Storing a bunch of bananas together with other fruits will produce more ethylene gas, causing bananas to ripen faster.
  • Lightly coat banana skins with cooking oil: Because oil helps prevent air from entering and keeps bananas moist, this action will create a protective layer for bananas.

Above are effective and safe methods for preserving ripe bananas. Proper food preservation will save a lot of costs and avoid food waste. Food preservation also depends a lot on the quality of the refrigerator and preservation tools. Using poor-quality tools or refrigerators that do not freeze, do not cool effectively… can easily cause bananas to spoil quickly. Perfect Boiled Eggs Every Time: Easy-Peel, Smooth, and Non-Sticky https://echowoven.com/perfect-boiled-eggs-every-time-easy-peel-smooth-and-non-sticky/ https://echowoven.com/perfect-boiled-eggs-every-time-easy-peel-smooth-and-non-sticky/#respond Mon, 28 Oct 2024 02:24:31 +0000 https://echowoven.com/?p=86925 Achieving perfectly boiled eggs where the shells just slide right off can feel like a culinary win! If you’ve struggled with sticky, hard-to-peel eggs, here’s a foolproof method that ensures smooth, easy-peel results every time.

Step-by-Step Guide to Easy-Peel Boiled Eggs

  1. Start with Old Eggs: Fresh eggs are often harder to peel. If possible, use eggs that have been in your refrigerator for a week or more.
  2. Bring Water to a Boil: Before adding your eggs, ensure your water is at a rolling boil. This shock of heat helps to firm up the proteins in the egg whites, making them less likely to stick to the shell.
  3. Use a Pin: Gently prick the wider end of the egg with a clean pin or thumbtack before boiling. This tiny hole allows a bit of water to seep in between the eggshell and the membrane during cooking, which helps separate the two for easier peeling.
  4. Carefully Place the Eggs in Boiling Water: Use a spoon to lower your eggs into the boiling water gently. This prevents the shells from cracking on impact.
  5. Boil the Eggs: For perfectly cooked eggs, boil large eggs for exactly 9 minutes. Adjust the time slightly if your eggs are smaller or larger than average.
  6. Ice Bath Post-Boil: Immediately transfer the eggs to an ice bath after boiling. The rapid cooling causes the egg inside to contract, pulling away from the shell and making peeling a breeze.
  7. Peeling the Eggs: Once the eggs are cool, gently crack the shell all around by rolling them on a hard surface. Start peeling from the wider end, where there is a small air pocket, making the initial break easier.

Perfect Boiled Eggs Every Time EasyPeel Smooth and NonSticky2

Why This Method Works

The combination of starting with boiling water, pricking the eggs, and then shocking them in cold water is what makes this method effective. Each step is designed to help the egg separate from the membrane inside the shell, ensuring that your eggs are easy to peel and perfectly smooth.

Enjoy Your Perfectly Peeled Eggs!

Now that you know the secret to perfectly peeled boiled eggs, you can enjoy them in salads, as a healthy snack, or however you like them! No more frustrating peeling sessions, just smooth, delicious eggs ready for your enjoyment.

Woman Asks People To Guess Her Age – The Response Is Shocking https://echowoven.com/woman-asks-people-to-guess-her-age-the-response-is-shocking/ https://echowoven.com/woman-asks-people-to-guess-her-age-the-response-is-shocking/#respond Fri, 25 Oct 2024 16:27:26 +0000 https://echowoven.com/?p=86647 Sometimes the internet tends to humble you quickly. This is why, posing questions to strangers online, is not for the faint of heart. If you post content online, people will think they can leave whatever comments they want and it is warranted.

This woman thought she would pose a simple question to the internet; how old do I look? A question that came from general curiosity that most of us have… turned into a life lesson not just for her but for everyone on the internet.

Keep reading to learn more about what transpired…

A woman posted a video on TikTok and asked viewers a simple question; to guess her age. However, nothing could have prepared her for the answers she received which she simply said were ‘wild.’

Emily Jane posted a video of herself sans makeup and social media filters and asked people to guess how old she was. She was shocked to see that some thought she was in her forties, her fifties, while some even thought she was in her sixties!

“I’m 56, my guess is that you are close to 47,” one commenter wrote.

“I’m 42. I’d guess you’re around 51,” another person pondered.

“A really attractive 42, and I’m 29,” someone shared.

The answer that took the cake for Emily was one commenter who thought she was 58 years old.

“Do I genuinely look like I’m nearly 60? Like I’m nearly at retirement age? Do I actually look that old?” she asked in a follow-up video.

A lot of people of course also thought she was in her thirties and a few thought she was still in her twenties as well. The guesses were of a wide range.

Emily however, was shocked at people who guessed she was so old and finally revealed the truth about her age.

“I turned 36 last week, so only just 36,” she said.

80116255 13307917 image a 1 1713144720274

And she is well aware of why people think shes older, its because she has stopped dying her naturally grey hair.

“I’ve had grey hair for quite some time now and it is a natural grey. I started going grey around 19, and people think because I’ve got grey hair, I’m over 50,” she said in her video.

She said even with her grey hair, she was shocked people were guessing she was older.

She said in the original video, that the eyebags she had were a result of sleepless nights because of having a newborn baby. She also said she wore no makeup or filters which might have given people pause, but in her opinion she looked totally normal.

“I’ve never had any work done. This is my face, and this is what I look like, and I think this is what most people my age would look like without a filter,” she shared.

Emily started going grey when she was 19-years-old and a lot of people think it's a marker of old age or being over 50
Emily started going grey when she was 19-years-old and a lot of people think it’s a marker of old age or being over 50

She theorized in her video that peoples’ guesses for her age had less to do with her and more to do with how social media has conditioned people to view women.

She said that these days most people do not know what a woman looks like naturally since social media promotes cosmetic interventions and the use of filters to alter appearances.

“I think it is essential to remember that what you see on social media and what you see on television or what you’ve seen in magazines, and people have said this for years, it is not real. What’s your take?” she asked.

“Do you think we have a warped perception of age based on what we’ve been exposed to on social media?” she asked her viewers.

Some people however did not agree with her and said it was just her grey hair that was aging her.

“36 going on 60. It probably is the hair that ages you but you are still very gorgeous,” one person wrote.

“I think you look your age. I think it’s people’s perception that we only get white hair when we age. They can’t get past it,” another added in argument.

“It is just the hair that ages you. Your skin looks great,” someone shared.
While another person added, “I think people get confused by a younger person feeling comfortable growing their gray hair out.”

Whatever the case might be, Emily Jane seems to be happy just the way she is! Share this story with others to see if they can guess her age right!

The Fridge Hack You Wish You Knew Sooner: A Simple Sponge Trick https://echowoven.com/the-fridge-hack-you-wish-you-knew-sooner-a-simple-sponge-trick/ https://echowoven.com/the-fridge-hack-you-wish-you-knew-sooner-a-simple-sponge-trick/#respond Mon, 14 Oct 2024 09:53:22 +0000 https://echowoven.com/?p=85151 Ah, the joy of discovering simple life hacks that transform our daily tasks into something a bit more manageable! Today, I’m excited to share a nifty trick that’s as straightforward as it is effective, especially for tackling a common annoyance in our kitchens: excess moisture in the fridge. This issue, if left unchecked, can lead to limp vegetables and an overall less inviting smell inside your refrigerator. The surprisingly simple hero of this story? A kitchen sponge! Let’s dive into how a mere sponge can revolutionize the freshness and dryness of your fridge.
Why Place a Sponge in Your Fridge?

Sponges are celebrated for their absorbency, a characteristic that makes them invaluable for mopping up spills. However, it turns out this attribute can also be a game-changer for controlling humidity levels in our fridges. Here’s the breakdown:

Moisture Absorption: By positioning a clean, dry sponge within your refrigerator, you effectively create a moisture magnet. This sponge will attract and hold excess humidity, which commonly accumulates in vegetable drawers and other fridge compartments. As a result, it combats dampness, keeping your produce fresher for an extended period and preventing musty odors from developing.

Enhanced Fridge Cleanliness: With a sponge quietly absorbing moisture, you’ll notice a significant reduction in water droplets on the interior surfaces of your fridge and on the exteriors of food containers. This contributes to a cleaner, more sanitary space for your food, diminishing the likelihood of mold and mildew formation.

Implementing the Sponge Hack:
Choose a Sponge: Opt for a sponge that’s either brand new or has been thoroughly cleaned and dried. It’s essential that the sponge is free from any contaminants to ensure it’s safe to use in a space with food.

Strategic Placement: Identify areas within your fridge that tend to gather moisture, such as the vegetable drawer, and place your sponge there. These spots are where the sponge can perform optimally in absorbing unwanted dampness.

Cheek filler, in particular, is a procedure that is on the rise as the go-to treatment for sculpted cheekbones.

The nonsurgical cosmetic procedure ‘gives your cheeks a fuller, more defined look,’ per Cleveland Clinic. This is achieved by ‘safe substances called dermal fillers’ being injected ‘around and above your cheekbones.’

But while you may not even be able to notice who’s had a millilitre of filler here and there, certain people take their love of injectables to the extreme.

And one such heavily modified face is that of Anastasia Pokreshchuk.

The Ukrainian model is known as the woman with the ‘world’s biggest cheeks’.

She’s now shared an unrecognisable throwback snap of herself from before she started pursuing her controversial journey with filler…

Pokreshchuk began her filler journey in her twenties, and since then, she’s had countless procedures on her hugely inflated cheeks.

She also has veneers and breast implants and has had Botox injections in her forehead, according to the Mirror.

But it’s her extreme cheeks that have garnered Pokreshchuk the most attention.

She tells the New York Post: “I love them, I want them to look like this and I’m very happy. I regularly inject other parts of my face myself.

“I understand that they look weird for other people but I don’t mind.”

Pokreshchuk has also opened up about the downsides of her polarising appearance.

She says: “I’ve had people tell me I am an ugly b**** and that I should kill myself but when I see it I just laugh it off and ignore it.”

And during an appearance on ITV’s This Morning, Pokreshchuk shared: “I love this look. I was like a grey mouse. My nose was too big. And now I have big cheeks and big lips it looks OK.

“My mom thinks that I was naturally beautiful before, but now thinks I look more exotic and my friends say my new appearance is better because before I looked like a grey mouse.”

Pokreshchuk has also hit back at trolls who criticise her extreme look.

She writes on Instagram: “I don’t understand this kind of thinking at all. I don’t understand how I can think about my appearance based on what others say.

“I don’t care what others say because this is my face and I have to like it, not you. This is my face and my life.”

She concludes: “You will not live my life for me, OK?”

“You may think that they are too big but I think that they’re a little bit small, I need to refresh them again soon,” she adds to the Sun.

“I love them, I want them to look like this and I’m very happy. I regularly inject other parts of my face myself,” Pokreshchuk tells Femail.

“I understand that they look weird for other people but I don’t mind.”

Pokreshchuk has also shared that she’s had a dangerous Brazilian butt lift procedure, sharing: ”I wasn’t scared.

“Yes it’s the most dangerous surgery but it’s also the most popular one. Beauty is pain! You can die crossing the street!”

Now Pokreshchuk has shared a throwback picture of her natural face, leaving the internet shocked.

Pokreshchuk has taken to TikTok to share a video containing images of her before she began pursuing her ‘world’s biggest cheeks’ title.

And it seems as though many people were fans of her old, more subtle look.

“Omg your natural face is so beautiful,” one person comments.

Another says: “You were naturally very pretty.”

However, some viewers have disagreed with this and say they love Pokreshchuk’s more extreme look.

“Everyone has their own definition of beauty, not everyone can look this good with defined cheekbones,” one writes.

In agreement, a second comments: “You are one of a kind and unique!”

Pokreshchuk concludes to the Mail Online: “I get hate comments online all the time – no one has the confidence to say it in person.

“In real life, people want to hug me and take pictures with me. It’s so nice!”

She adds: “I don’t have people around me that judge me, but I don’t give a f*** what people think of me. My friends never judge me.

“My mother tells me that I looked beautiful before of course, but now she calls me “exotic”. She is my best friend and the best possible support I could ask for.’”
