An old lady calls 911 late one night\u2026\n
The dispatcher answers\n
\u201c911, what is your emergency?\u201d\n
\u201cThere appear to be two men rummaging through my shed.\u201d\n
\u201cA breaking and entering? We\u2019ll have an officer over in an hour.\u201d\n
\u201cAn hour? But they won\u2019t be here in an hour. They\u2019re breaking and entering now.\u201d\n
\u201cMa\u2019am, no officers are available right now. We\u2019ll send a squad car in an hour.\u201d\n
The old lady hangs up, then calls back a few minutes later.\n
\u201c911, what is your emergency?\u201d\n
\u201cI\u2019m the lady who called about the two men breaking into my shed. You don\u2019t have to send anyone. They are unconscious now and something happens to them .\u201d\n
Within a few minutes, there are police all over her yard.\n
The men are apprehended, and the commanding-officer-on-scene goes up to take the woman\u2019s statement.\n
