My concern grew, so I glanced through the window and saw two strangers moving around inside. After a tense few moments, they emerged with the two strangers in handcuffs. My daughter, with tears streaming down her face, rushed out to hug me. \u201cDad, I\u2019m so sorry,\u201d she cried. \u201cI was trying to protect you. Those men broke in just before you arrived. I didn\u2019t know what to do, and I didn\u2019t want you to get hurt.\u201d\n</p><p>Relief washed over me as I held her tightly. \u201cIt\u2019s alright, sweetheart. I\u2019m just glad you\u2019re safe.\u201d\n</p><p>The police took our statements and assured us that the intruders would face justice.
