Matt and Brittany Montgomery\u2019s tale is one of those that happens all the time yet is nonetheless great because of the people involved.\n
The two people found one other, fell in love, and immediately began building a life together.\n
The couple\u2019s narrative may sound familiar, but there is a twist: the man is far larger than the woman.\n
Brittany has struggled all her life to feel like she belongs. She did not feel safe with her overbearing parents, and she often came away from their conversations feeling depleted.\n Because of this, she began to dislike her physique and feel inadequate about herself.\n As a plus-size woman, she encountered two types of men: those who wanted her to lose weight and those who found her curves sexually alluring.\n Because of her dismal luck in relationships, she considered ending her search for love completely.\n But destiny had other plans for her! She met Matt Montgomery online in August of 2020. Their bodies couldn\u2019t have been more unlike, but their spirits were bound as never before.\n However, they were confident in their love for one another. After Matt\u2019s proposal on January 30, 2022, the couple immediately began making plans for their future.\n They are completely at ease with one another, but they discussed the outsider\u2019s perception of their relationship.\n When asked about the comments on his Instagram post, Matt said, \u201cPeople comment on Instagram and suggest that I\u2019m not big enough or man enough for her.\u201d He added, \u201cI do notice people staring when we walk down the street\u2026\u201d\n They have nothing but love for one another, and it doesn\u2019t matter how many people criticize their relationship because they don\u2019t get it.\n Matt\u2019s previous interactions with ladies of \u201cnormal\u201d size have not gone well.\n The way Brittany makes him feel led Matt to the conclusion that she is indeed his soulmate. He loves her for who she is and works hard to ensure her satisfaction.\n Not one to hold back from showing his affection for her, he recently said, \u201cYou are worthy, you are deserving of infinite love every single day and more. The way I look at you and feel for you and the way you look and feel for me is how I know that we are meant to be.\u201d\n He captions the photo of him and his wife with the unpleasant comments others have left on other couples\u2019 photos, proving his love for his spouse and the depth of their relationship beyond what meets the eye. What a great comeback against the naysayers!\n The pair is working to normalize relationships between people of different sizes. She expressed a hope that \u201cmixed-weight relationships were more common and more the norm,\u201d saying, \u201cI wish they were.\u201d\n It was just last month that the young couple announced they are expecting their second child, Lakelyn, in September 2023.
