She opened her letter with some backstory, saying that she and her husband Matt had been happily married for 25 years before an unwanted affair ruined their union.\n</p><p>Sandra wrote, \u201cOur life with Matt had been happy, and I felt really loved throughout these 25 years. I would call this marriage blessed, because we both have been through so many ups and downs, including a tragic accident that happened in our family and took the life of our youngest son, Luca.\u201d\n</p><p>Sandra recalls that all pain and all troubles that she and Matt faced during their family life, were met by both of them unanimously, and they coped with everything together. Sandra also wrote, \u201cI could never have suspected that Matt could cheat on me. In our younger years, he didn\u2019t pay much attention to other ladies, it was only me who was on a spotlight for him, and this didn\u2019t seem to have changed throughout the years. I became instantly worried, because I knew he had some problems with his heart lately, so I supposed he was having some heartache, and he was looking exhausted, which made me even more worried about him.\u201d\n</p><p>When she asked Matt about what was happening and how he was feeling, he asked her to sit down with him and listen. Apparently, he had something serious to share with his wife, so she prepared for some bad news, but she couldn\u2019t even expect it to be that bad.\n</p><p>Sandra wrote, \u201cMatt sat on the opposite side of the table and started talking. He put it straight without rambling, that he has a mistress, her name\u2019s Abby, she\u2019s 25, and she\u2019s his ex-coworker.\u201d\n</p><p>Sandra was shocked at the news, but her astonishment grew even more when Matt announced that he was going to divorce Sandra immediately and marry Abby. But at\u00a0that moment\u00a0I just said to\u00a0myself that\u00a0I shouldn\u2019t do\u00a0any of\u00a0these things. I\u00a0tried to\u00a0be\u00a0as\u00a0calm as\u00a0a\u00a0rock, and didn\u2019t even ask him for any details. I\u00a0suggested discussing the divorce together and finished the talk after we\u00a0did.\u201d\n</p><p>Sandra and Matt got divorced in\u00a0no\u00a0time, and Matt got married to\u00a0Abby. They went on\u00a0a\u00a0honeymoon. Matt called her and said that they would come to\u00a0their house, which they co-owned with Sandra, to\u00a0discuss this very house together.\n</p><p>Sandra knew what this all would be\u00a0about. She knew that Matt would be\u00a0urging her to\u00a0sell the house and to\u00a0leave\u00a0it. But she also knew that she would never let it\u00a0happen, as\u00a0she already had a\u00a0plan.\n</p><p>So, when Matt and Abby arrived, they rang the doorbell, and when the door was open, the first thing they saw was red tape. It\u00a0was everywhere in\u00a0the house, arranged in\u00a0some logical way that could be\u00a0seen as\u00a0a\u00a0border between the rooms.\n</p><p>Sandra wrote, \u201cThey asked me\u00a0immediately what it\u00a0all was about. I\u00a0asked them not to\u00a0cross the red tape here and there and explained that now, we\u00a0will be\u00a0living in\u00a0this house together, so\u00a0I made a\u00a0border, between their part and mine, and\u00a0I divided everything into two parts. The bathroom, the kitchen, our bedrooms, even the closet. She also divided the only one sink with water, and she made it\u00a0from bottom to\u00a0half. As\u00a0for the bathroom, they had two, so\u00a0she allowed them to\u00a0use the one which was upstairs, and hers was downstairs. The one that she left for the newlyweds, needed a\u00a0big repair, and she said they could use their finance to\u00a0renovate\u00a0it.\n</p><p>Saying that the couple was in\u00a0shock is\u00a0to\u00a0say nothing, as\u00a0Sandra mentioned. She didn\u2019t expect them just to\u00a0turn around and to\u00a0leave the house in\u00a0silence.
