So, my\u00a0MIL (I\u2019m a\u00a0girl, btw) came to\u00a0stay with\u00a0us for a\u00a0few weeks, til her home is\u00a0renovated. The problem is\u00a0that she has been randomly walking in\u00a0on\u00a0me\u00a0while I\u2019m in\u00a0the bathroom. Thankfully, not once has she seen me\u00a0naked because\u00a0I started picking up\u00a0on\u00a0her behavior after the second time in\u00a0a\u00a0week.\n
She\u2019d barge\u00a0in, then turns and says, \u00abOh\u00a0sorry\u00bb, then close the door. I\u00a0tried talking to\u00a0my\u00a0husband about\u00a0it, but he\u00a0kept ignoring\u00a0me, then said, \u00abSo\u00a0what if\u00a0she has accidentally seen you naked? She\u2019s family!\u00bb He\u00a0seriously said that!\n
We\u00a0have a\u00a0lock and\u00a0I could\u2019ve used\u00a0it, but\u00a0I have past trauma from the idea of\u00a0being locked in\u00a0a\u00a0room after my\u00a0brother locked me\u00a0in\u00a0the bathroom when\u00a0I was\u00a05.\n\n

So\u00a0I\u00a0came up\u00a0with this idea. I\u2019d go\u00a0inside the bathroom pretending to\u00a0use it\u00a0and wait for her to\u00a0come (cause honestly? It\u2019s deliberate at\u00a0this point). When she \u00abaccidentally\u00bb barges\u00a0in, she\u2019d see me\u00a0in\u00a0a\u00a0weird position. For example, doing a\u00a0ballet stand, standing on\u00a0the toilet, or\u00a0standing facing the wall with my\u00a0hands\u00a0up, fully clothed of\u00a0course.\n
I\u00a0could see how awkward and weird this would be\u00a0for her because she\u2019d stand there for a\u00a0few seconds trying to\u00a0figure out what\u00a0I was doing. It\u00a0was hilarious at\u00a0first seeing her initial confusion, but she told my\u00a0husband about\u00a0it, claiming \u00abshe\u2019s caught me\u00a0practicing rituals in\u00a0the bathroom\u00bb. I\u00a0cleared things up\u00a0and revealed the reason why.\n\n

My\u00a0husband called me\u00a0childish and said that\u00a0I made his mom feel \u00abterrified\u00bb by\u00a0my\u00a0behavior. He\u00a0said\u00a0I should\u2019ve acted maturely and locked the door instead of\u00a0playing games.\n
My\u00a0husband and his mom are extremely upset with\u00a0me. He\u00a0still thinks it\u00a0was ridiculous and is\u00a0demanding an\u00a0apology before she goes back to\u00a0her home. I\u2019m not sure if\u00a0I will apologize. While it\u00a0was a\u00a0\u00abme\u00a0problem\u00bb that\u00a0I couldn\u2019t use the lock, it\u00a0still feels wrong what she did. Maybe I\u2019m wrong, too, but at\u00a0least\u00a0I got a\u00a0bit of\u00a0a\u00a0chuckle out of\u00a0it.\n\n
