When Tomm\u2019s parents laid eyes on\u00a0him for the very first time in\u00a0the delivery room, they were\u00a0utterly stunned. Debbie Tennent, Tomm\u2019s mother, couldn\u2019t believe her own eyes when they placed him on\u00a0her chest.\n\n

\u201cMy\u00a0heart came up\u00a0to\u00a0my\u00a0throat, but at\u00a0the same time, it\u00a0was lovely to\u00a0pick him up\u00a0and cuddle him,\u201d she\u00a0recounted. Doctors were perplexed by\u00a0Tomm\u2019s condition.\n
With the cause remaining elusive, there was no\u00a0known treatment or\u00a0solution. Their sole hope was that as\u00a0he\u00a0grew older, he\u00a0would naturally develop into his skin, and the wrinkles would gradually diminish.\n\n

They found that Tomm had an\u00a0excess of\u00a0Hyaluronic acid in\u00a0his body, akin to\u00a0Shar Pei puppies, but his levels of\u00a0this substance were significantly elevated compared to\u00a0the norm. Interestingly, as\u00a0Shar Peis age, their Hyaluronic acid levels decrease, resulting in\u00a0changes in\u00a0their skin. Doctors held the belief that a\u00a0similar transformation might occur in\u00a0Tomm over time.\n\n

Dr. Andrew Ramsden, a\u00a0physician, had predicted that Tomm\u2019s condition would likely improve as\u00a0he\u00a0aged, and his prognosis proved to\u00a0be\u00a0accurate. Over time, Tomm\u2019s condition did indeed ameliorate, just as\u00a0the doctor had anticipated.\n
