It\u2019s never particularly enjoyable to notice things in our homes that seem to defy explanation. Personally, whenever I come across a new mark on the wall or catch a faint unfamiliar smell, my first thought is whether it\u2019s going to worsen and, ultimately, how much it\u2019s going to cost to fix.\n
It\u2019s no surprise that strange marks or unexplained findings in the kitchen, of all places, can be alarming. After all, this is where we prepare\u00a0food, and it\u2019s one area in the home where we expect to have full control over everything.\n
One homeowner, however, found herself puzzled by the appearance of several black dots with no obvious explanation.\n
\u201cDoes anyone know what these spots could be?\u201d she asked in the Facebook group \u2018WeLoveMrsHinch\u2019. \u201cThey started showing up on the kitchen tiles and this morning, I noticed some on the PC we keep in the kitchen.\u201d\n \u201cTake a closer look, you\u2019ll probably find a spider,\u201d one person commented. Another added, \u201cIt\u2019s pretty common this time of year\u2014spiders leaving droppings everywhere.\u201d\n According to the \u201cPest Guidance\u201d website, spiders don\u2019t leave solid droppings; instead, their waste is a thick liquid resembling dark ink stains, often found on walls and surfaces.\n \u201cTheir droppings appear as splatters or drips in shades of black, brown, white, or grey,\u201d the site explains. \u201cThe type or color of the waste depends on the species, but in most cases, you\u2019ll notice dark splats or drips. These are a mix of food waste and other byproducts from the\u00a0spider\u2019s\u00a0body.\u201d\n I must admit, I had no idea about spider droppings. Did you?
