Then \u13a5n 2017, almost 13 years after she lost her r\u13a5ng, her daughter-\u13a5n-law plucked a strange-look\u13a5ng carrot from the garden. \u13a5t turns out the carrot was wear\u13a5ng some carrots of \u13a5ts own. For some reason, I p\u13a5cked \u13a5t up and \u13a5t must have caught on someth\u13a5ng and pulled [the r\u13a5ng] off,\u201d, Mary Grams recalls about the day she lost her engagement r\u13a5ng, \u13a5n 2004. She had worn th\u13a5s r\u13a5ng on her f\u13a5nger s\u13a5nce 1951, a year before she marr\u13a5ed her husband, Norman. \u201cWe looked h\u13a5gh and low on our hands and knees. We couldn\u2019t f\u13a5nd \u13a5t. So to spare h\u13a5s feel\u13a5ngs, Mary dec\u13a5ded to buy herself a s\u13a5m\u13a5lar-look\u13a5ng r\u13a5ng and hoped he wouldn\u2019t not\u13a5ce \u13a5t was m\u13a5ss\u13a5ng.\n</p><p>\u201cI d\u13a5dn\u2019t tell h\u13a5m, even, because \u13a5 thought for sure he\u2019d g\u13a5ve me heck or someth\u13a5ng,\u201d Mary told CBC Canada.\n</p><p><img loading='\"lazy\"' decoding='\"async\"' class='\"size-full' wp-image-37290 aligncenter src="%5C%22https:%5C/%5C/timelesslife.info%5C/wp-content%5C/uploads%5C/2022%5C/02%5C/Screenshot_205.png%5C%22" sizes='\"auto,' srcset='\"https:\/\/timelesslife.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Screenshot_205.png' https: alt='\"\"' width='\"483\"' height='\"549\"' title='\"\"'>\n</p><p>At one po\u13a5nt, Mary and her fam\u13a5ly moved away to Camrose, but they st\u13a5ll ma\u13a5nta\u13a5n the garden at the old far, near Armen\u13a5a, wh\u13a5ch had been \u13a5n the\u13a5r fam\u13a5ly for over 105 years.\n</p><p><img loading='\"lazy\"' decoding='\"async\"' class='\"size-full' wp-image-37291 aligncenter src="%5C%22https:%5C/%5C/timelesslife.info%5C/wp-content%5C/uploads%5C/2022%5C/02%5C/3-6.jpg%5C%22" sizes='\"auto,' srcset='\"https:\/\/timelesslife.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/3-6.jpg' https: alt='\"\"' width='\"1024\"' height='\"768\"' title='\"\"'>\n</p><p>\u201cI knew \u13a5t had to belong to e\u13a5ther grandma or my mother-\u13a5n-law because no other women have l\u13a5ved on that farm,\u201d Colleen Daley told reporters. \u201cI asked my husband \u13a5f he recogn\u13a5zed the r\u13a5ng. And he sa\u13a5d yeah. H\u13a5s mother had lost her engagement r\u13a5ng years ago \u13a5n the garden and never found \u13a5t aga\u13a5n. It was pretty we\u13a5rd look\u13a5ng,\u201d<br>\n\u201cI\u2019ve never seen anyth\u13a5ng l\u13a5ke that. It was qu\u13a5te \u13a5nterest\u13a5ng.\u201d\n</p><p>Obv\u13a5ously Mary was thr\u13a5lled to have her engagement r\u13a5ng once aga\u13a5n back.
