Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could be kicked out of the US by Donald Trump following an \u201cextremely foolish\u201d move some years ago.\n

Duke of Sussex has in the past detailed his experiences with psychedelic drugs, a confession which could rule havoc for his Visa. The father of two spoke, in his memoir Spare, about taking magic mushrooms at a party in Hollywood, Los Angeles and marijuana on other occasions.\n

Royal experts have blasted the admission, as it could now prove very cosrtly for Harry and Meghan. Richard Fitzwilliams, a royal commentator, said: \u201cHarry was extremely foolish to discuss his drug taking in Spare both in interviews and in the memoir, available in paperback. However, the Sussexes have kept a relatively low profile during the election, urging Americans to vote but not being explicit as to whom for.\n

\u201cAt one time it was thought that Meghan might enter politics but we have seen no sign of this. It is most unlikely that Trump would risk an embarrassing episode involving the royal family by expelling Harry, if it was discovered that he had not revealed his drug taking on his Visa application.\u201d\n

During an interview with GB News earlier this year, Trump was quizzed by Nigel Farage as to whether there would be any \u201cspecial privileges\u201d for Harry. Trump, who was found guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records back in May, replied: \u201cNo. We\u2019ll have to see if they know something about the drugs, and if he lied they\u2019ll have to take appropriate action.\u201d\n

Farage then pressed: \u201cAppropriate action? Which might mean\u2026not staying in America?\u201d Considering this, Trump responded: \u201cOh I don\u2019t know. You\u2019ll have to tell me. You just have to tell me. You would have thought they would have known this a long time ago.\u201d\n

But it is understood the royal couple, who moved to the US in 2020, have a \u201cback up plan\u201d in place, with preparations already in place should the worst come to pass. This is thought to be finding residency in Portugal, where they have a new holiday home. It is close to one owned by Harry\u2019s beloved younger cousin, Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank.\n

In one memorable passage of Spare, released in January 2023, Harry recounted an experience with magic mushrooms at a Hollywood party, remembering: \u201cI stared at the bin. It stared back. \u2018What-staring? \u2018 Then it became\u2026 a head. I stepped on the pedal and the head opened its mouth. A huge open grin.\u201d\n
