Isn&rsquo;t it a more pertinent query?\n</p><p>Hawn, whose two marriages ended in divorce, responded that she and Russell, 72, have witnessed the consequences of ending a marriage, in part, when Wallace asked the same question again.\n</p><p>&ldquo;It turns out to be big business when it doesn&rsquo;t work out,&rdquo; the actress stated.\n</p><p><img loading='\"lazy\"' decoding='\"async\"' class='\"alignnone' wp-image-44911 size-large src="%5C%22https:%5C/%5C/echowoven.com%5C/wp-content%5C/uploads%5C/2024%5C/12%5C/goldie-hawn-kurt-russell-071423-2-e4f1ff0e5a294203b763c96bb3c6c671-1024x683-1.webp%5C%22" alt='\"\"' width='\"1024\"' height='\"683\"' title='\"\"'>\n</p><p>\u201cIt\u2019s always ugly,\u201d she continued. \u201cSomebody actually has to take a look and say, \u2018How many divorces actually are fun? How many divorces actually don\u2019t cost money? How many divorces actually make you hate the person more than you did before? How many divorces have hurt children?\u2019 \u201d\n</p><p>\u201cBut [you and Russell have] been together 40 years, you&rsquo;re not going to get divorced,\u201d Wallace rebutted about her relationship with the Guardians of the Galaxy actor, which started in 1983. There\u2019s things that we believe in, things we don\u2019t believe in, we agree on.\u201d\n</p><p>\u201cSo I think ultimately staying independent with independent thinking is important, so you can hold on to yourself, and you can actually have that feeling,&rdquo; she concluded.\n</p><p>Hawn\u2019s first marriage was to director Gus Trikonis in 1969, but they divorced in 1976.
