When I looked at the couple, I nearly fainted, for I immediately recognized my daughter. Ever since the little ones lost their mom and dad, it was Georgia who took care of them. She did all in her power to fulfill their every wish in order to ease their pain and diminish the grief that had settled in their tiny hearts.\n</p><p>But that trip wasn\u2019t a random one. A week prior, Georgia received an anonymous letter that read, \u201cThey are not really gone.\u201d She had no idea what those words meant. Was someone pulling pranks on her? They couldn\u2019t be possibly talking about her daughter Monica and her husband Peter. Georgia organized their funeral, although she wasn\u2019t allowed to see their bodies after the fatal crash.\n</p><p><img loading='\"lazy\"' decoding='\"async\"' class='\"alignnone' size-full wp-image-40036 aligncenter src="%5C%22https:%5C/%5C/echowoven.com%5C/wp-content%5C/uploads%5C/2025%5C/01%5C/462553336_902536108260679_7627749080936055160_n.png%5C%22" alt='\"\"' width='\"992\"' height='\"661\"' title='\"\"'>\n</p><p>A feeling of unease affected her days. \u201cWas there more to the story,\u201d she could stop wondering.\n</p><p>At that moment, Georgia remembered that her daughter\u2019s credit card was still active, so she called the bank to see if any transactions had been made during the two years Monica was dead.\n</p><p>To her surprise, the bank informed her that a virtual card linked to the account had been used. It had been activated just a week before Monica\u2019s death. With a mix of dread and curiosity, Georgia decided to investigate further.\n</p><p>Georgia was able to locate the place where the last transaction had been made. And just as she convinced herself that she was simply delusional and that her daughter couldn\u2019t possibly be alive and the bank had made a mistake, her grandson Andy shouted: \u201cGrandma, look! That\u2019s our mom and dad!\u201d\n</p><p>The woman had Monica\u2019s hairstyle, and the man shared Stephan\u2019s limp. Georgia followed them at a distance and could hear them talking how much they missed their boys. She immediately started crying and begging her to forgive her. When Georgia demanded answers, her daughter explained that they were forced to fake their own deaths in order to escape a financial ruin. They believed the children would be better off without them.\n</p><p>Georgia couldn\u2019t believe what she was hearing.
