Princess Beatrice\u2019s family recently celebrated a new addition, as a heartwarming photo captured newborn Athena nestled in a soft pink blanket.\n
Although she arrived several weeks ahead of schedule, Buckingham Palace confirmed that she was delivered safely.\n
\u201cHer Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter, Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi, born on palace January 22 at 12.57pm, at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London,\u201d the statement said.\n
\u201cThe baby was born weighing 4 pounds and 5 ounces.\n
\u201cTheir Majesties The King and Queen and other members of the royal family have all been informed and are delighted with the news.\u201d\n Athena is the younger sister of Beatrice and her husband Edoardo\u2019s first daughter, Sienna, who arrived in 2021.\n The two sisters also have an older stepbrother, Christopher Woolf\u2014affectionately called \u2018Wolfie\u2019 by his family\u2014who is Edoardo\u2019s son from his previous marriage to Dara Huang.\n Speaking with Harper\u2019s Bazaar (via PEOPLE), architect Dara shared how she and her ex have successfully built a positive co-parenting dynamic for Wolfie.\n She even considers their arrangement a win-win situation for everyone involved.\n “Wolfie has had two sets of parents trying to help him on both sides, and I just think, ‘The more, the merrier,’ ” she said. “I feel lucky to have such positive people around him, who really embrace him \u2014 because it didn\u2019t have to be so easy.”\n Dara continued: “It’s all about your point of view. I don’t understand people who are divorced and then hold their children as collateral; that doesn’t make any sense. It\u2019s about creating a happy home and lifestyle.”\n It seems the three have managed to find a good balance, with Dara expressing her best wishes when her ex-husband married Beatrice in 2020.\n At the time, she shared in a statement: “I wish the best for Edo and Beatrice and look forward to uniting our families.”\n Fast-forward to 2025, with two children now in the picture, Edoardo and his growing family appear to be thriving.\n Sharing his joy on Instagram, he wrote about baby Athena: “We welcomed Baby Athena into our lives last week. She is tiny and absolutely perfect.
